We have headed further south today to the pier in Bang Bao. There are
lots if fish restaurants and boat tours here and a very nice light
house. It’s darn hot today but thankfully there is a light breeze to
take the edge off.

We’ve now settled into our lovely hut with a view further south on the
island. There is no free Internet here so posts will be less frequent
but it does mean that this part of the island is much quieter and
happily locals outweigh tourists.

We phoned ahead to our next hostel in Cambodia to check if they had
availability and it turns out they’re booked up until February. So as
we quite like it here on Koh Chang we are going to stick around for
another week or so until after Chinese New Year. We have arranged a
new place to stay in the south of the island called Bai Lan Family
Bungalows and the beaches down that end are very quiet. We may also
fit in a boat trip to some small islands and diving spots.
