Well here we are! The beginning of our big adventure. We both managed
to get a bit of sleep on the plane and made it until 9pm before bed.

As soon as we arrived we hit the ground running by jumping on a boat
up the river to the Grand Palace which was amazing. No blog photos of
that though as the iPhone battery had died by then.

Dinner was at a great Seafood diner where some pointing at menus and
other peoples tables got us a very nice meal.

We had a great flight to Singapore for our connection onto Bangkok.
While we were waiting for our flight we watched some Koi swim around
and found this massive telly:

Well we have been given loads of great stuff for Christmas presents and have now come home and packed our bags for the first time to make sure everything fits.  Thankfully it all does fit (with a fair bit of spare room) so we should be good to go.

We are off to Hull on Thursday to visit the Thai Consul to sort out our visas and have already applied for our US and Australian ones online.  Then we have to just have to finish off a few last jobs, have a leaving party with our friends and we’ll be ready to jet off into the sunset.  How bloomin’ exciting!
