Into the wilderness
Today we set off south to Tombstone (photo 1). It was a bit touristy but still had a certain charm. We had a quick explore before going further south. Just before meeting the Mexican border at Bisbee we headed north to Chiricahua National Monument.
The road there was great (photo 2). With localized storms amongst the 90 degree heat.
Chiricahua was excellent with some spectacular rock formations (photo 3) plus it was a little cooler at its 5000 foot elevation.
After a walk to Echo Canyon grottos we drove on east to our motel in Lordsburg, New Mexico through some beutiful desert and the odd dust storm. We had some great Mexican food for dinner and are now looking forward to a sleep in our massive bed!
What a great day! Loved the photos.
